After two comeback shows that sold out in a flash and celebrating your own reunion, it was time for a sequel last year. But not twice Hockenheimring, four times Hockenheimring! "B?hse for life" was the motto. Pathetic, big balls and, like an uncle, little concerned with modesty. But for the fans, "B?hse f?r's Leben" actually means more. Because it's not just about a band and their fans - "B?hse f?r's Leben" is the expression and core of a whole attitude towards life. With exclamation mark.
And the shows themselves? The glamor and the partly operetta-like staging of the comeback a year earlier now gave way to the dirty treasure of their own back catalogue, with all its hits and popular songs that had been left out last time. Any of the 400,000 fans who attended the Hockenheimring over those two weekends in June will probably remember the intro and opener for the rest of their lives. Of “Viva los Tioz”, of the Bengalos in “Hour of the Winner”, of the many pogo and the crass fan choir, which was sometimes louder than the band's PA. To all the hits and of course to "We stay" - the first new song by Onkelz since 2004.
In the "B?hse f?r's Leben" documentary, all facets of this spectacle are illuminated. A look over the shoulder of Onkelz and behind the curtain of the biggest stage in the world. Band, crew and fans all have their say - together with live impressions from the shows. It takes around 100 minutes to look into the eye of the hurricane that tore Hockenheim apart. And of course there is the complete concert from the first Saturday. The band's euphoria, their playful mood and their motivation to give the fans an unforgettable audiovisual experience in a class of its own was captured for posterity in the best picture and sound quality. A unique exchange of energy and spirit took place on each of the four concert days for more than three hours. Anyone who hasn't seen it won't believe it.
